Still hard to believe Jacob is ten! He woke up around 5 this morning, excited about his birthday...from then on every minor thing that could go wrong did...crazy mixed up schedules to pick up stuff for a major house project, Jacob feeling under-the-weather for a bit before school classes, other irritations...but the family pulled together and enjoyed a meal at "Maria's", a wonderful Mexican restaurant in Atchison, Kansas...and stopped by God's Mountain to drop off Josiah; and were invited to Johnny Williams home where we had a delightful visit...and I had my first fried morel mushrooms!
Jacob got about 18 birthday cards...many with presidential flashcards...and he still has a party with several of his compadres this Saturday...
So grateful the Lord dropped this unexpected blessing in our lives...a decade ago!
