Winston Churchill said long ago, " “All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.”

Read that list again.

mercy...

hope...

Now think about America's current state of morals, politics, ethics.

Thankfully, for those of us "in Christ" we still have (true) freedom; we know He will execute justice; we strive to honor our Lord; we recognize our duty and from our position of grace we strive to do the works "which He has before ordained that we should practice them;" we are recipients and passers-on of His mercy (and grace); and we have...HAVE...hope.

If your hope is diminishing, read and pray Romans 15.13, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Spirit you may abound in hope."
