Majestic..and funny

In the late 90s I was bringing 45 teens from New York and Pennsylvania to Colorado for the National Bible Quiz Tourney. Because I was familiar with the area, I had the bus pull off I70 near Victoria, Ks so we could visit the "Cathedral of the Plains."

Initially the students were less-then-blessed; but once they got out and observed the place, both outside and in, they were uniformly grateful.

Last night Jacob, Jane and I spent a few minutes at this place in the middle of nowhere that remains majestic. Here are a few shots along with the photo of a letter posted inside that I find humorous:
