Main Thing Main Thing?

Lord, prevent me from getting "deep" in the things of God, at least not "deep" to the point I spend more time arguing among Christians than lifting up the Cross of Christ and His gospel.

C. J. Mahaney nails it (pun intended) in one of my favorite books:

"In our never-ending desire to move forward and make sure that everything we think, say and do is relevant to modern living, too many of us have stopped concentrating on the wonders of Jesus crucified. Too many of us have fumbled the most important truth of the Bible, and therefore we've suffered the consequences.

But it's not too late to change.

It's not to late to restate and reestablish the obvious truth as the most important truth in your life and to be caught up as never before in wonder over the love and grace of God."
