Lunch time after a good morning of quizzing...if you've never seen Bible Quiz Fellowship (BQF)-style Bible quizzing you should check it out. It sounds boring...but it is far from that. I've told the teens too many times that had I been a Christian when I was a teen, I doubt I would have had enough courage to attempt Bible quizzing.
It is a tool to get students into the Word, and thus the Word into students. It is tremendous to see students competing with class; encouraging one another, accepting "bad calls" and more. It builds character, helps them to learn to think on their feet, to work as a team, to handle adversity and more.
Here's a couple pics from the morning:
Sometimes a quizzer leaps to his/her feet, triggering a light in front of the quizmaster...and then the quizzer realizes it's not their material...and get a look like this:
Students, in teams of five, sit on pads that are connected to a computer; when they think they know question/answer they leap to feet triggering light which causes (theoretically) the quizmaster to stop immediately, identify the quizzer, who then has 20 seconds to give the correct question/answer...
Quizzing is simply a tool, not "the" answer..."the" answer is Jesus, and we start the day by adoring Him in worship:
