Shot this on the fence surrounding the Kansas Governor's "mansion" in Topeka a couple days ago. I guess it's a cicada or somesuch? All I know is the shell is there, the new life gone. Bunches of thematic illustrations there...just kind of odd looking; glad I spotted it:
