Who is the person, other than God, most responsible for your salvation? (after answering, if it's been a while, maybe you ought to send them a thank you?)

I doubt that you will have a more unusual answer than mine. But, my 'story' goes to show that God does indeed work in mysterious ways.
When I was 8 my mom passed away. My dad was having an affair with his secretary at the time. She was a professed Christian. My mom died in Oct, my Dad was engaged by Christmas, and married in July. That Feb while dad and his secretary were engaged, they took my brother and I to an FCA meeting, then my soon to be step mother led me to the Lord in the car afterwards. After she and Dad got married they actually lost custody of my brother due to abuse, but I remained. The put me through a Christian school and kept up the appearance of a Christian home.
They no longer go to church, and the next three children that they had together all want nothing to do with God.
But, thankfully, I was saved because of 'that woman'.
Wow, I was thinking of how "strange" my conversion story is, and was reluctant to share it, until I read Hillbilly Handiworks' story... my aunt was the one who told me Christ is the only way, and that my efforts to keep the Ten Commandments just in case my pagan beliefs were incorrect would fail miserably (and why)... she is now clearly not even a believer, and none of her children are, either. I still send her a mother's day card, though, and share the gospel with her when I have opportunity.
Hillbilly and Brandi...proves that God blesses the message; not the "messenger." One of the better preachers I've ever known, who was used by God to introduce many now long-time friends to Jesus; is now "married" to a man. He still professes to be a believer, and, ah, pastors a church...The older I get the more convinced I am that "salvation is of the Lord" and "no one comes to the Son except the Father draws him."
